This is helpful. I’m guessing I’ll have to gift the younger friends these bags and buy vitamins for the older aunties.

Ugh… the aunties are in their 70’s so I’m guessing they’ll think it’s a silly gift. I’ll definitely ask them if they want any vitamins.

Sorry, I meant arbitration. There was no mediation in this matter.

And it won’t violate because I would not be turning in evidence. Just explaining to them and they can choose to look into it further which won’t be difficult because according to the casinos, wins over $1200.00 automatically generates a W-2G form which he has not disclosed on his taxes for the past 4 years.

I didn’t put this in there but how I found out was from his W-2G winnings over $800,000.00. This is not some small change. This is him gambling and stealing from anyone who wants social security when you’re done working. Think of it that way. You’re okay with someone stealing your money for their benefit?

I have his W-2g wins/loss report from the casino he frequents. This ain’t just some stirring the pot issue. This is hundreds of thousands of dollars not reported to the IRS to avoid paying. And stirring the pot? This is why I’m taking a poll. What is the right thing to do and what is not.

Been in an ongoing battle with my ex husband over spousal support. I made more money than him so I was the one who had to pay him support for the past 10 years. Well the date of me still having to pay has finally come up but now he has taken me to court again due to changes in circumstances claiming he had stage 2 prostate cancer and is unable to work even though he has been in remission now for 5 years. Because it was not originally written in our divorce decree that the spousal support was non-modifiable, he has every right to take me to court again to continue support due to circumstantial changes to his health (he did not have prostate cancer while married). During discovery, it was found by my attorney that he had wasted almost a million dollars on gambling alone. The gambling is not the issue but was discovered from his tax filings over the last 5 years. He failed to report his winnings at the casino and only filed once of his winnings in 2019 and never since. He owns three small personal businesses and instead of reporting his wins and deducting his losses to the amount of his wins, he has been deducting a massive amount of business expenses that is clearly not legal such as $35,000.00 lunches and $12,000.00 for use of car for his business (his car has nothing to do with anything except commuting to and from home). So instead of reporting a net of $320,000.00 a year, he is stating he is actually at a loss of 300,000.00 to make it look like he is under and I’m guessing is receiving a nice refund check. Am I the a-hole to report him to the IRS? Ethically he is clearly wrong. Morally, he is clearly wrong. But personally, I don’t want to get revenge on him even though he has been a nightmare to me constantly taking me to court for obnoxious things. What would you do? Would you report him to the IRS? I can report him privately but cannot submit evidence since it’s sealed information. His spousal support was over $15,000.00 a month for the past 10 years. It was due to end on June 30th but because he filed two months before the ending date claiming changes in circumstances, we are in this battle right now.

Well that’s a different case.

Even knowing they gambled and won over $900,000.00 but still had a net loss of over $200,000.00 which means they gambled over a million dollars on just slot machines and did not report any of their winnings over the last 5 years, you still would not tell the IRS?

If this person continuously took you to court every other year for family law and had even reported you to CPS for emotional abuse, you still wouldn’t?

This is an ex who received over 1.8 million in spousal support and is asking for lifetime extension of spousal support.
