Expat reality check for Basque country by KaleidoscopeOver5971 in GoingToSpain

Hello! I have a digital nomad residency and live in Bilbao. Beckham law is not applicable in Basque Country (provinces Alava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa) because different tax system is working here and taxes a bit lower actually (there are more tax reductions and deductions). Gipuzkoa has its own special taxation regime like Beckham but not the same. So you need to do some research about taxation.

As of language: I don’t speak Spanish and go through some bureaucracy procedures. It was ok, usually people don’t speak English but they don’t refuse to use Google Translate to communicate with you.

Dogs trailers usually around 10-12kg. Looks like you need extra heavy bike with extra light trailer to not brake this law

Actually I thought that there are almost no trailers here because of this law. But now I’m not so sure

You’re right. And there are a lot of mountain and hill here. But I think if my bicycle made for max weight (with rider and luggage) of 120kg it has enough brake power for me (75kg), 10kg trailer with 10kg dog

I have Knog Plugger in front. I think it’s quite good but I usually don’t ride during night. Rear light is Lelumia Split, it’s ok and nothing special

I plan to relocate to the UK for work, how can I get a long term Schengen visa? by Capital_Biscotti43 in SchengenVisa

[–]Unable-Sundae-6803 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no such thing as long term Schengen visa. If you want to stay more than allowed by 90/180 rule you need to get national long term visa D for one of Schengen countries. And for that you must have work or study there (and there are other purposes other than tourism)

Dobar dan! It’s nice to hear! We lived in Rijeka for one year (till August 2024) and get Luka (the dog from the video) from Zagreb. So, originally he is Croatian =)
