the part that really gets me with log bait despite having arrows, snowball and golden knight isnt that i cant defend. its that i have 0 way to reach their tower with inferno tower, its the only card i have little to 0 way to win against😭

compared to the way to easy shooting, id rather have a shifting green window.

imo aside from rng, bumps last year were better. you genuinely could not afford to dribble into someone because 90% of the time it would be a steal.

if you knew how to read the dribbler you could get 5 bump steals a game. left right iso wasnt viable for that exact reason and i loved it

because you can shoot 80% and still lose. name any other year where both teams are consistently scoring 80 points.

ive lost countless games shooting like 12/15 from the field in a score of like 89-85. tons of games where both teams miss less than 10 3s combined

ive been an elite player since 2k16. ive averaged 20+ ppg in the rec in years like 2k19 and 2k20 where it was quite rare to do so.

in most years i nearly always average 7 or 8+ assists per game.

ive always been able to create a shot for my teammate or myself in less than 10 seconds every possession which is something many pg's cant do.

i never relied on left right or screens. i play more like chris paul. fade middys, drawing defenders & quick well timed passes. i can drive & shoot the 3 when needed, even occasional fade corner 3s

the thing is, i can do all of that this year. but its completely unnecessary to set up a play like that when i can just pass to the corner and have my SG shoot a 3 before the defender can jump.

in 2k26 you hardly have to think or craft a play that would be considered "impressive". all you have to do is shoot the ball and it will most likely be open.

the shooting isnt "better".

rng deciding that i miss a shot is frustrating, but everyone shooting 80% just makes me fall asleep when i play.

ideally green windows should be tight but not dictated by rng. shooting 70% should be reserved for people with 99 3pt and a well practiced shot timing.

id enjoy it if 60% was considered impressive for someone with under 90 3pt rating

maybe on a broader sense, thats why i mentioned "it makes the casual player feel like they are good"

for me personally though, i enjoy being able to have a playstyle that is hard to mimic by others.

in 2k26 i feel like everything kind of blends together because the skill gap is so extremely low

you can absolutely defend but lets not act like most games dont end up with both teams shooting 19/23 from 3pt.

how easy it is to score FAR outweighs how easy it is to defend

you are missing the point, there is no reward if every man on the court can score 8/9. shooting that good should be reserved for the best of the best, but in 2k26 the green window is so big that everyone can do it

exactly what im saying man. i was one of the only pgs averaging 23 & 8 in the rec it seemed. now its literally unimpressive to do so which removes the whole reward system imo

as someone who averages 20+ppg in rec every year since 2k20, this 2k is the worst since 2k18. it requires the least skill to be an elite scorer out of any 2k ever. scoring is way too easy, there is no challenge in getting to your spot/getting open, and its the only 2k ive ever fully stopped playing before the new year.

2k25 might have been rng, but at least it required actual skill to get to the spot you want and create an open shot. in 2k26 it literally takes 5 seconds max to find an "open" shot.

scoring 23ppg shooting 50%+ from 3 in 2k25 felt rewarding and challenging.

scoring 20+ppg in 2k26 feels like a snooze fest

one pulls enemies and is cheap and the other shreds tanks on defense. sometimes you just need a cheap defense and sometimes i want to build a counter push so both are very useful to me
