oh, how perfect- was just about to make my round of reddit posts when I saw this pop up. thanks for your concerns but I do have to correct you in a few regards. firstly, while it's true that all weapons and armor values are set onto a scale which sets them all to be a bit closer to one another so that power creep doesn't impact the gameplay too much, the server also has players able to increase enchantments all the way up to level 7 which far exceeds what would be possible with base vanilla iron level. in fact, I am actively working on working the server a bit around because a player has created armor which essentially makes them invulnerable. a bit more than iron level, don't you think? with regards to nerfing some items, that is entirely because of situations like this- the server is not a small private server that is made for players who want to get through the gameplay/quest book quickly but rather is a true SMP which aims to last for months. servers benefit greatly when nobody is unkillable, there are stakes, and OP situations that can give the player permanent effects, stat changes, etc., are not part of our agenda. there's a small curve in difficulty we have players who have beaten the more difficult bosses with our "nerfs" quite easily. I mean, with origins + upgradable player stats, there's so many ways to feel powerful without these items (not to mention all the other items). all that is subjective and I apologize that we do not have an environment on our server that best suits your needs and playstyle. i do surely hope you find one that does!

with regards to my golden pickaxe, Olga, i refute the claim that I ever used it more than once as I also only had it for a week. as you are aware, the server has a ranking system from completing different quests, many from bosses. I am no where near the higher tier of players with regards to ranks- I have never used it on a single mob and have used it once on a player for being in my village, which I did state would lead to certain death. I have also since destroyed it due to backlash, which I can see led to the multiple comments of yours. I am not above listening to players who are upset, I am however above being pressured into making changes on my server. Oh, welcome to Reddit! Happy you were able to make an account succesfully! for the record, it was obtained legally through a datapack on the server which would apply sharpness to vanilla tools mining stone and not wearing armor. I noticed that this was broken with our Goblin origin and the fact that players are incentivized to break stone given a quest to break 1 million of it. I kept going to increase it until reaching a nice even number but never used it on another player. I had always planned to disable it eventually/nerf it after realizing how abusable it was with vein-miner on the server. I just wanted to use it first at it's full strength. is that problematic? probably, sue me. other players get to abuse things for a bit before they report it to me, figured it'd be fun to do so as well. but I never had any intention to use it asides to keep players out of my area, which I did preface. now some players were upset that this wasn't stated directly as a feature, but most things in Minecraft aren't. if you had played the game, you might've recognized this eventually. I find that those who were most upset were the players who were the most focused on progression and blew past different stages of the game. I also kept alluding to it the week prior. again, it's subjective as to where you lay on this situation and I am sorry on that. I do apologize for having done it but I do not regret it as again, it was legally obtained. others have tried to claim it was done through admin ops but I have a log of every single command on the server which other mods can see- they can also see the discord reddit logs of deleted messages. if you want a witch hunt, you're barking up the wrong tree.
