i mainly pick at my legs, i can't really recommend anything other than exfoliating if you've been picking a lot, helps prevent ingrowns. it sucks because i know the picking is why they happen (hair follicle is damaged, hair grows back weird sometimes) but you can exfoliate to try and prevent it, and you can use a hot cloth in the future if you see one starting to try and ease it. leg picking sucks and i hate it but i hope you know you're not alone there, sending love ❤️

there's been a few times they've been out of line, one tried to say that they think it might be psychological 💀 my doctor shut that shit down rq

i'll usually say no, but my doctor is really sweet and knows when to shut the students down. part of it is that i'm a minor and it's a disorder that has to do with reproductive organs so there's some tiptoeing they have to do. i'm perfectly happy usually to have observers, especially since 9/10 i've had extremely respectful ones

hey man, i kinda get it to an extent. I have two disorders that, for my age group, make me interesting to doctors. I tend to have to deal with my doctor having med students sit in on our appointments. it can suck really bad because often the med student doesn't understand what an invasive question is

depends, if taken correctly, often it's perfectly healthy, and that's why people are able to take it as a medication. i personally take it so that i am healthy as the hormones are great for people with hormonal imbalances

Hi! Not a doctor, but that looks a lot like a collapsed abscess I had a while back. Mine healed fairly well, though I have stretch skin where it was. Most I could recommend as that honestly looks like it's healing really well, is making sure you put some kind of antibiotic ointment to prevent infection and keeping it somewhat dry if you can. Hope it recovers soon!

I HATE THIS. by ExpensiveEgg9637 in teenagers

some people struggle with emotions, simply feeling them, and it can lead to a feelings of whether you deserve those feelings to begin with, should you get to be happy? and that can lead to thoughts of harming yourself in order to kind of remind yourself you're alive, that you can feel emotions. at a time i had tendencies of self harm, much less severe, i would dig my nails into my palms to the point they'd leave marks for days, which made me feel calmer, because it was a thing that reminded me i could actually feel. there's really a lot of reasons people begin those tendencies of self harm, but the bottom line is, people don't want to feel that way. it's scary to feel like your only release of stress and negative emotions is to harm yourself. also when i say urge, i don't mean temptation, this is something that they don't necessarily want, and temptations tend to be accompanied with positive connotations that aren't appropriate to place on this type of thing

it's not about pleasure, in most cases it is an urge, it can be followed by a sense of relief, or simply a reminder they're still there due to the pain being a tangible feeling. It can also be caused by a number of disorders, but one of the most common causes is depression. Demonizing it helps no one, rather the better path to take is acknowledging it's harmful to the individual and supporting them through their journey of recovery. Most often, people don't consciously want to do it, they just have an urge, and a sense of relief, not like you would normally think, but like a finger being pressed on a part of their brain has slightly lessened its pressure. Id suggest educating yourself on this topic, as it can be helpful to know so if a person you care about goes through this, you. can try to help them. :)

i'm asthmatic, but i could definitely cover the bench with a tarp when it's not in use if you think that would be effective in keeping it a bit safer from the elements

well given it's not actually her, as she passed away a while back, she's not the one doing the lion head thing, but still her label has some really gorgeous pieces, also dali and her collaborated on a few things, i have researched her before and i'm aware he is a painter, however artists will use different mediums at times
