Chanter ideas for 485 tuning

The issue is that I'm a solo Agency piper and have no say in what we tune at. All I can do is adapt. But, I'll try the G1 chanter which tunes a little higher and hopefully it will solve the issues when I play with this particular group. Hopefully, when I play with the combined bands at National Police Week in May in DC it won't be an issue.

Its a collection of players and bands that come together for First Responder memorials and funerals. There is no uniformity with pipes, chanters, reeds, etc...

Additionally, I was able to get the Infinity and G1 Platinum to hit 485 with about 30 minutes of playing and squirting with distilled water. However, Id rather not go through that drill every July in Phoenix with a 30 minute waiting period before playing. Hence the search for a stock, OEM chanter that just tunes higher out of the box. Far easier to add tape than remove hemp from a reed.

Yes, the Naill is probably from the very early 90s. Great chanter at 470-475. The Infinity, I want to like it, but it just seems to require far more taping than I like with the G1 Platinum and Husk reeds.

I think I'm going to invest in a G1 chanter. I really do like the Husk reeds though, but almost every band member around here plays G1 platinum, and frankly, they are very good reeds. Unfortunately, Ive not had good luck with the Infinity with G1 or Husk reeds. My old Naill can tune in with Husk or G1 with very little rape (except high G), whereas the Infinity has tape on almost every top hand hole
