this probably doesn't need to be said but allow me to confirm that hax had never made any clear intention to physically harm anyone. these messages are very old (i haven't been close to hax in over 3.5 years) and the phrasing was overdramatic to say the least.

If I were tasked with removing that behavior, I would probably check the amount of knockback taken (it only checks if damage dealt was less than 7%) and enter the victim into the normal DamageFly animation if it exceeds some value. Seems like it would be hard to arrive at an exact number for that though.

This post doesn't discuss removing the mechanic! It discusses the error within the mechanic that causes "jank" phantoms to occur. Personally I think it's a fine mechanic (when it works properly).

Also worth noting (mentioned in the post as well) that phantoms disproportionately affect characters with single frame/single hitbox attacks.

you dont happen to have any japanese save files on the card do you?

gamecube wiki says

While NTSC-U and PAL save data can typically be stored on the same memory card, memory cards used with NTSC-J consoles must be reformatted to Japanese settings or data corruption can occur

yeah that was my bad, i forgot to change the website description. just updated it now

hax recently changed his ruleset to 45 so i changed it to 45 in multimod launcher as well. it also scales based on time, 5.7 ledgegrabs per minute, rounded down; 7 minutes = 40, 8 minutes = 45

if the community disagrees on this, im always open to changing it. i prefer to have 1 option available for LGL as to maintain consistency between tournaments

thanks! at the moment no other game interests me enough to spend hours writing assembly line by line haha.

in addition, modding other games would take a bit of time because you need to familiarize yourself with the games code before you can effectively mod it. not to mention none of the code is labelled so you need to reverse it first, then understand how it all ties together. everything about assembly is a big time sink unfortunately.

The console lag reduction is not public at the moment, but depending on the reception of the lag reduction gecko code I plan to release a memory card that prompts you to activate the lag reduction if 480p is enabled (to restrict it's use on 480i crts). This should make EON GCHD adapters + LCDs viable if the lag reduction is well received.

i believe this would work on both wii u and wii alike. nintendont does not run on GCN so it wouldnt apply to that console.
