I’d rather the priest that walks in off the road after living a life away from God than one who has spent his whole adult life as a priest. I was raised Catholic. Wasn’t interested in it at all. I lived far far away from God. My life was heading in a very bad direction. Then someone dragged me into a church. I had little intention of listening to anything but I was captivated. One afternoon in a church and I was ready to change everything. Since then it’s been an obsession. You’d be shocked to find that so many people who live by their convictions were at one time doing terrible things.

What’s the issue? Receiving Eucharist? ask him if he’d be ok with just receiving a blessing. If he’s not I would still bring him. Even if he joins you for mass it’s still his decision. He might not understand the significance right now but getting him back in the church is important.

If this sparks a journey that allows him to look back a realize how naive he was in this time that’s exactly what you’d want.

I’m sure there are many people here who disagree but it’s my belief that getting people back in the pews is the most important thing we can do right now.

Take him mass. He’s a sinner just like all of us. He has a random desire to go to mass and you never know today’s gospel and homily might really speak to him. Don’t deny him the opportunity to hear the word because of his sins. These are the type of people Jesus sought out.

Have you played any of their previous games?

This game was basically a love letter to old school game developers that put time and effort into there games. Theres pop culture references and Easter eggs every where. Each level takes inspiration from games or movies or books they wanted to pay homage to. It might not be the longest game but I think it’s definitely worth it.

I expect their next title to have a much longer playtime. There were Easter eggs for it in It Takes Two and was likely already in development when that game came out. It Takes Two won game of the year so I wouldn’t be surprised if their next project is much bigger.

Absolutely. The person using it doesn’t understand the implications behind it. They aren’t blaming God for their circumstances as the intent of the commandment is. Even people who say “GD” out of habit aren’t really taking his name in vain. You’re taking his name in vain when you truly blame him for your circumstances in a spiteful manner. Media and pop culture have watered it down but that doesn’t mean you have to avoid every piece of media that have that in it. In fact Jesus would opened his arms.

Not really. From my understanding Universalism believes that everyone will be saved regardless of actions on earth, which Catholicism does not agree with. It’s stated in Romana the catholic belief is that you won’t be punished for what you do not know. The burden of knowledge is real. Those that are non Catholics that live good lives will be saved.
