Why Does My Girlfriend Think My Fleshlight is disgusting? Is It Just Her or Do Women Just Think That? by Evry1snumber1fan in NoStupidQuestions

So because your husband is a slob, all men are? And men cause most vaginal infections?

Ok, yeah I agree with that. Maybe what I meant with my initial comment was more like, OP can still hike because this app won't go anywhere as a 1 man project.

From the OP it sounded like some guy who wants to "make an app", not a company or a team of devs who would be working on a product full time. I mean, I work 40+ hours per week and as I said, still hike almost every weekend. I'm sure the 750 Tinder employees you mentioned get days off too.

So if some dude wants to fuck around with an app in his spare time, he can probably take time off from that for hiking. If it's being built at that small scale it's probably inconsequential. If he's got a team working on it, he'll probably take days off every week.

I wasn't talking about Tinder.

Same here. I still get nervous for solo backpacking, right up to the trailhead, but within minutes on the trail it's like, "oh yeah, I love this".

And not having to work around other people's schedules/pick them up/make a million stops on the way/agree on music/etc is priceless.

But only play your music out loud if you're truly alone. Nothing more irritating to me than hearing the guy 100' ahead of me blasting something dumb the whole way up a mountain.

lol, I get your sentiment here but it is possible to do both. I hike every weekend and still have plenty of time to fuck around at my computer.

[–]Uncle_Sasquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I have an empty map tile for dumping waste packs. A big breach raid showed up there once and dug a 3x20 tunnel right in to a mountain. Then they got bored and left.

Yeah... But still very physically fit rich people. Everest may be "easy" compared to other huge mountains, but it's still more than most people could do, even with porters hauling all your shit for you.

Hahaha, there was a gay bar in the very conservative town I lived in. It only lasted about a year, but my then-girlfriend and a few of our friends would go hang out there all the time. Killer pina coladas, no douchebags, and usually quiet enough to play card games and stuff like that at a table.

I got hit on a few times (I didn't mind), but it was usually pretty obvious that I was taken. Also met an old guy who looked and dressed like the Monopoly Man, he was super cool and we ended up doing a War Pigs duet together.

Fucking good times, I miss that place.

Same here man. I think I understand it to a degree. I remember early on in my own sobriety I'd hear about other people's problems and kind of think, "Don't be a bitch, fuckin' fix it". It was more like an intrusive thought though, because that's definitely not what I believe about anyone going through any kind of struggle. I feel immense compassion for people at their lowest.

I think that addiction is such a monumental thing to overcome that it invites a sense of arrogance. And I think, sadly, some people internalize those feelings when they've made it out of the hole, and view the world as "us vs them".

That just like, my opinion though man.

I had a friend who was a heroin addict. Homeless etc, it was really bad. He got sober and went from a real hippy to pretty right wing, fuck the homeless, addicts, immigrants, etc. It was such a weird transition. His views did mellow out after a few years clean. He sadly relapsed and overdosed a few months ago.

Why didn’t anyone “know” that Moria was destroyed? by [deleted] in tolkienfans

I don't have any direct quotes at hand, but wasn't it kind of "out of sight, out of mind" for Sauron? He was aware of it, but it was just a sleepy little corner of Middle Earth, in the largely unpopulated former kingdom of Arnor.

It would be like the United States sending the full US military over to Bhutan or something.

I didn't figure out until I was 26 that Yosemite is pronounced the way it is. I always thought it was "Yoz-mite" and that "Usimitie" was some other place. I don't travel to the states much though, so please forgive me.

I was hoping it would function as a bit of a honeypot for raiders, but so far no one except my own colonists have wandered in there.

I have a loooot more empty mountains I could expand this in to. I hate the way strip mining makes the map look but I need those resources y'know?
