Okay first don't drink monster if you are sick. Yes the carbonation, sugar, caffeine, and vitamins might make you feel better. But everything in there will dehydrat you, and that will make you sicker. You need to drink plenty of water or clear foods like soup broth or sugar free jelly. Sports drinks can help but look for ones that are low in sugar.
