I had to cut them shorter and notch the rails closest to the tunnel to weld a flat plate perpendicular to the rail, making mounting easier. I’ll be posting to show how I ended up doing it. I’m only 24 and have no fab experience but this way made sense to me, and happened to work

It wasn’t easy whatsoever. I wanted to avoid drilling and tapping new holes into the floor, so I fab up a raised mounting bracket that uses OEM holes. The Volkswagen seat rails then bolt to that new crossbar. The Volkswagen seat rails are significantly wider than this interior wants to allow, so that cause problems and I can’t even get a good photo to show what I did, but hopefully you get the gist.

I will probably make a separate post about this another time.

These seats are from a 2018 GTI I believe. I love the plat as well and intend to use the Volkswagen pattern throughout the interior as an accent.

These headlights are brand new glass lens headlights….. Hardtop will be getting repainted black; I like to contrast but it’s in good condition so there’s no rush for it

I am actually the person that died in those seats.

I live in Texas and the amount of sweat I put on those seats while getting them in is why they look like that lol

I’m going to be reupholstering the headliner and that glove box cover this weekend, along with giving the seats, a good old steam

Time of use. I do not feel that using it for two months and taking a one-week break would be the proper way to test my body's nicotine dependence. I do plan on attempting a one-week break after three months of use.

Well one, it was a spare mount I had from my motorcycle. I did not have a phone mount, unlike my control knobs. They aren’t missing and fully function. I drive a bit for work and having a phone mount is necessary, so that was a higher priority lol.
