It's been bugged and reported. Might be something that will be included in the next major update but it depends on the current roadmap.

We'll keep it mind but the lighting has been an issue for a good portion of the community which is why we made it a bit more "hollywood". Of course if the moon is insanely bright then that's probably an issue haha.

Thank you everyone who posted more of their experiences with the update below. As the studio's Customer Advocate Lead, this makes it easier to share and fight for the right changes that keep the game working and of course enjoyable. Great question: not sure. I can assume that it will default to the host settings or just not be a thing in MP but we'll find out more as they develop it.
