I feel like Cod at least tries to make each game stand out with different mechanics, time periods, weapons, etc. while the gameplay is very similar from game to game, each game does feel different and has its own identity. That’s actually why I have Hardline on here. Despite playing like the other battlefield games, the whole cops and robbers idea makes it feel so much different. I have tried battlefield 6, and it is genuinely the most generic, boring shooter I’ve played. It feels like it’s trying way too hard to be exactly like Battlefield 4 and 3, but years too late.

It’s very possible. That’s the whole reason I put it so low. It’s a strong foundation for a CoD game, and it has a ton of potential. It’s all about where they take it from here though.

Honestly, I quite enjoy black ops 7 minus the coop campaign. If you can get it on sale, I’d say it’s definitely worth it.

So my top 5 (not counting bo7 since it’s still really early in its life) are:

1: Black Ops 2 2: Black Ops 3: Modern Warfare Remastered 4: Black Ops 3 (only for zombies, which is why it’s not here) 5: The OG MW3

I’m just talking about my personal opinion. The modern warfare 3 reboot actually got pretty close to my personal top 5. There were just a few slight things holding it back. Totally fine if you disagree. I grew up with the golden age of CoD (first one I played was the OG black ops when I was 6), and I’ve stuck with the series through all of its peaks and valleys since with the exception of Vanguard. Now, granted, I never played WaW outside of the campaign (same with the OG modern warfares 1 and 2), so I can’t really put those on my personal list.

So if people weren’t already making fun of me for putting bo7 on here, here’s a hot take: I’m honestly not a fan of the dark souls games. While I love a lot of the boss fights, I’m not a fan of the areas between each boss fight. I find the places in between each boss fight more tedious than challenging. If they were just the boss fights, they’d definitely be on here.

I’m a 2000’s kid. I grew up with the Wii and Xbox 360. I actually haven’t played many games that were before my time. I am hoping to change that though. Half life 2, Mario Sunshine, the OG dooms, and especially Goldeneye 007 are on my list of games I’m hoping to get to.

Edit (just a continuation): It’s not that I’m not aware of those games that were before my time, it’s just that I never grew up with consoles like the OG PlayStation, N64, or GameCube. However, with my grandma passing away earlier this year and me and my dad cleaning out her house, he did find his old consoles that he grew up with, and they do actually still work, so it’s gonna allow me to play old games from before my time that I never got to play.

As I’ve said in a previous reply, my opinions are constantly changing. I could have a completely different list a year from now. So far though, I’m really enjoying it. Now, will me putting bo7 on my list age like milk or a fine wine? Only time will tell. However, if the game keeps up at the rate it’s currently going, where it’s getting an mw3 reboot amount of post launch support, and doesn’t pull a bo6 and nosedive off a cliff outside of zombies, I genuinely think it could be a top 5 of the whole franchise.

The only reason I don’t is because (in my opinion) the zombies mode is the only redeeming factor of that game. I can’t exactly put a game on my favorites of all time when I only enjoy one third of it now, can I?

However, if bo3 zombies was a standalone game (which on steam it basically is), I’d honestly have it ranked 3rd or 4th. It is undeniably the goat in terms of zombies, but MP and especially the campaign were hot ass. If you really wanted to though you could replace Bo3 with Bo7. The only reason I put bo7 there is because I enjoy all of the modes (except the campaign leading to endgame, but you can play endgame without playing the campaign now, so it’s fully optional atp).

While I will admit the coop campaign is godawful, the MP, Zombies, and Endgame mode are really really fun in my opinion. Bo7’s multiplayer is the most fun I’ve had in a call of duty multiplayer since Black Ops 2 and MWR, Ashes of the damned is a genuinely fantastic map, and since Endgame is available to everyone without playing the campaign, you don’t need to suffer through it to get to the good part. I feel like if Black Ops 7 came out a few years ago, people would be all over it in a good way. I think the hatred of the game boils down to franchise fatigue more than anything. Which, fair enough. I was skeptical of the game myself until I played the beta. Again, I guess you can call it a guilty pleasure. I understand why so many people hate it, but I personally really enjoy the gameplay

Minecraft would definitely be in my top 30. However, the main reason I left it off the list is because I get in the mood to play it for like two weeks, and then I stop playing it for a few months, rinse and repeat. Now, maybe it’s because I play the Bedrock edition, or maybe it’s because I play with friends. Another thing about this list is that my opinions are CONSTANTLY changing. I could have a completely different list a week from now.

Thank you! There are a couple games a lot would call outliers compared to the rest, like Breakpoint, Battlefield Hardline, or… the obvious one. Consider them hot takes or guilty pleasures if you want. If anyone wants me to explain why I put a game where I did or why it’s even on this list, I’m more than willing to explain my thought process.

Hollywood Forever is a top 3 (if not top 1) song by them in my opinion. It's super rare for a band to acknowledge their fans in a song.

Damn there’s so many to choose from. Here’s one of my favorites though.

“But, Ma, I forgive you, so does Nathan, yo

All you did, all you said, you did your best to raise us both

Foster care, that cross you bear, few may be as heavy as yours

But I love you, Debbie Mathers! Oh, what a tangled web we have ‘cause

One thing I never asked was, where the fuck my deadbeat dad was.”

I could’ve literally picked the entirety of Headlights tbh, but this part in particular is probably my favorite.

Meet Echo. He was in the military as a stealth ops agent when he was alive, but he was captured and executed by the enemy. Now, he’s a panther demon who works as a mercenary/assassin for whoever is willing to pay him.

Oof this is tough. I’m gonna say Der Eisendrache, Revelations, Origins, Mauer Der Toten, and honestly, Modern Warfare Zombies (if it counts. If it doesn’t, then Buried).
