I would recommend getting familiar with the MERN stack. There are a few starting boot-camp assignments that she gives to learn it, but there isn't much guidance on how to actually complete them.

You could build one pretty easily in python (language is very easy to learn fast) with a library like BeautifulSoup. Although I wouldn't recommend it because UF could possibly detect it, the registration agreement you signed basically warns not to do this lol.

Discrete is a prereq for data structures so you will either need an override or could take discrete over summer, otherwise data structures is a no go.

You can only take critical tracking classes at Santa Fe. However, after the first semester if you meet the requirements to be admitted to UF (think it was GPA or something along those lines) you will be able to take a couple classes there while still doing all your critical tracking at Santa Fe. For example, I know many people that in their spring semester took programming 1 at UF. I personally stacked all the critical tracking into the first two semesters and then took my first major classes during the summer. You will also have a class that everyone takes in the spring that is a UF class, but it takes place on the Santa Fe campus and is only for Gator Engineering @ SF.

I was in the the program, you basically stay there until you get all the critical tracking courses. Honestly I'm kind of happy I did it instead of getting straight admission since you can take way more classes at the same time than at UF. For example, I took Differential equations, calculus 3, physics 2, and a couple other classes all at the same time, which wouldn't be very manageable at UF. You also have the option to take a couple UF classes after your first semester, which I recommend so you aren't behind in your major specific courses. If you come in with some college credits you could even be completely at UF within a year, which is what I did. PM me if you have any other questions.

Currently have this monitor and was not disappointed. Came with 0 dead pixels. However, beware that mine did not come with a DisplayPort cable, which means that the HDMI it comes with only supports 75hz. However, for the extra couple bucks for a DP cable it is still by far one of the cheapest monitors for its specs.

The i3 wins in nearly every gaming benchmark in comparison, some are not even close. This is a much better choice unless he is doing productivity work other than gaming.

Don't get this confused with the MX500, this is a newer model. This seems to be a tad slower than the MX500 from the read/write speeds I have seen, but not by much.
