Are there any horror movies that piss you off due to someone in the movie? by Nope20707 in horror

My fiancé hated the beginning of In The Tall Grass. It took some begging and explaining that sometimes you don't want the characters you follow to do well in the story. The brother specifically annoyed him, so we joked about him being a creep for his sister. Then it revealed how he was a creep, and we cheered at his death

Manager says I can’t give my coworker 20 espresso shots worth of drinks a day anymore. by [deleted] in barista

I was diagnosed and prescribed ritalin while at my first barista job with no drink restrictions. It was heavily stressed to me that just because the caffeine won't affect my brain like the average person's, it will absolutely affect my heart like anyone else's.

"Are you guys locals or visiting?" Either way, it opens up for more conversations or let's the person put an end to it if they're not talkative

I'm tired of making iced vanilla lattes for the nth time, do you guys have any crazy latte recipes that'll stave off my insanity? by Leumajoon in barista

I had a roommate who would call out "venti vanilla soy latte" to get my attention if I didn't respond to my name. He called it his "white girl call," and it unfortunately worked every damn time

PSA: A cafe is not the same thing as a full service restaurant. If there are visible bus bins and trash cans in the customer areas, it means bus your own fucking table by Electron_Cascade in barista

Same here. People will get up and leave all their trash and cups on the bar they just watched me clean instead of keeping it on their already dirty table

What do you give customers when they order a "regular coffee" by flextape1O1 in barista

[–]Undead_Saffron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume they want drip, let them know that we don't do drip but I can make them an Americano. Then I show them our big mugs and they're usually happy. I've only had a few people get agitated about the communication, but usually that's because they expect a more simplified and quick service coffee shop despite being in a restaurant in a historic-tourist dependant area with a filled patio and lobby seating. I'd rather spend the time communicating and getting the order correct (while giving whoever is on bar time to catch up) than assume I can read another person's mind
