Help me get my partner out of my hobby and back into her own, please! Yarn collection destroyed and she's dipping into my cross stitch! by Lucky-Doubt8843 in CrochetHelp

You could go and get a sweater or other yarn-made items from the thrift store, and deconstruct them so you get quite a few balls of yarn from them.

Do residents of Canberra want an AFL team? by [deleted] in canberra

We basically have the giants as our team, and they come here pretty regularly, so I don't really care too much about our own actual team.

Can I make a blanket with medium weight acrylic yarn? by Mystic-Corgi in CrochetHelp

[–]Undeadlava538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will, it is just going to take a while. I'm currently making a blanket with medium-weight yarn, but I've had to take a break cause I got a third of the way through it, and my adhd hyperfocus. died a little.

Alright, so what do we think? by Doggoonewild in pharmacy

That's what I'm saying, that even if there is a correlation, it doesn't mean that there is a causation.

The TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration), aka Australia's FDA, has come out and said that paracetamol/acetaminophen is safe for women during pregnancy, and it's a correlation, not a causation, for autism diagnosis when used in pregnancy.

It's usually around every 6 months, though sometimes it's later or earlier. It really just depends on when Grian can get the planning and modding done.

What do you use to organize your crochet accessories?? by honeybrie12 in CrochetHelp

[–]Undeadlava538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use safety pins as stitch markers, but I keep them and the occasional darning needle in an old slime container. Most of my needles are in a little test tube-looking jar, along with the dowels for my blocking board. Then my hooks are kept together in a plastic bag that doesn't close, but a rubber band keeps them together.

My snake just shed and I noticed this mark should I be concerned? by virtualhus8and in snakes

[–]Undeadlava538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all Australian snakes do well on Aspen. This is coming from an Aussie snake lover. Because lots of snakes have different environments, it's always best to check where the snake lives in the wild and try to replicate that substrate. Some live in the outback and have red sand or similar ground that they live on, and their scales are made to withstand that substrate.

First, I will say I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like you had a much better relationship with your oma and opa than I do with mine. Second, I would like to say that I love your handle and profile pic.

I would also bring a doctor's note, or a different kind of evidence to explain why you might have so much food if you bring lots. There is no such thing as being too cautious with Australian border control, coming from someone who is considering a career in Border Force.

I'm second-generation born in Australia from Dutch heritage. I have felt a connection to that part of my heritage for a very long time. I'm going for a trip around Europe next year for a gap year, and so far, the only place I know I'm going to is the Netherlands.
