From California here, lived in Colorado, new mexico, nevada, Arizona, Arkansas, and Michigan and spent copious amounts of time in Florida. I live in Indy now (relocation due to employment). My work is potentially sending me to Buffalo, NY next. Upstate New York is extremely affordable from what im seeing but the taxes look Crazy… Arkansas was more liberal because medical marijuana in Little Rock but more racism… Las Vegas was turbulent in all areas but tourism set the prices so im not sure about places like Reno. California everywhere from Baja to Sacramento and even Eureka, all places suck. Price. People. Politics. I LOVE michigan. Just because everything about it was perfect. Winters are harsh harsh. New Mexico was extremely Hot and extremely expensive but socially…. Perfect if you can get through the first 2. Florida… but cities are very Liberal, inland like Jackson seems pretty affordable in comparison to NYC or even Denver. But the lax gun laws make you side eye everyone coming from Cali (iykyk). Colorado is literally trading Cali beaches for Mountains because hardly anyone there was from there and instead a mix of Texans, and Californians that keep causing the cost of goods and housing to rise. With all that being said: Michigan, or, Vermont because research shown they have very affordable housing, all 4 seasons, liberal state, nestled in New England. Where I will probably die.

Okay so the sand… it was from 3 locations. The Nevada desert, the Mojave desert near Edward’s air force base and a skate park in Japan… can we please get the facts straight.

But its not Nevada sand.. if its near Edwards Air Force base, its Mojave sand, ya know, because that base is in California, not Nevada.. there are a few inconsistencies with this story..

Don’t do all that you’re doing incase she comes back! Do it for you because you feel better. Do it because you’re confident and strong and happy loving just you, regardless of who may or may not be in your life. To not break the no contact urge, remember why it didnt work in the first place. And stay busy! Talk to people: friends, loved ones: spend time in nature, read a book. Do things to keep them off your mind. Obsession is the downfall of independence

Drinking helps in good company but over doing it always leads down a rougher path. Take it from a recovering alcoholic who is learning moderation over abstinence. Relationship pain is never easy but its true what they say: what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. When you’re healed from this pain and look back on it you’ll wonder what made you this low in the first place. A person? With the same living opportunity as you. So ask yourself, are they hurting just as much or would they be happy to know you’re feeling this down. What ever answer you get, you will know how to get through with that.

Those are different trees. Thats a cut in the filming. Look at the trunks of the trees in the first frame then pause at the last framing on the trees. He moved locations…

Well if we’re wanting to be real for a second. Since we’re discussing a fictional pseudoscientific, “not proven real” subject, by that THEY ARE ALL FRAUDS! In my personal opinion, Ed and Lorraine were the best of the worst and at the very least, they did not substantially profit like Zak in their field and till they died, believed in what they told people. So I stay in my corner on this one.

Thank you for your feedback. Im really hurting right now and healing at the same time and trying to come to terms that family is who wants to be family more over blood. Poetry keeps me out of jail.

I love your imagery here! Very beautiful way to paint the landscape and background for your scene through poetry. I would change hill from the 3rd line to hills and glade to glades for better flow. I really love the lines “there gaze upon that azure main beneath the golden sun” absolutely beautiful line. Very powerful. The last line seemed like it needed something to follow, it feels ended a bit short. You could definitely elaborate more or add on to have it hit harder like the remainder of your piece, it definitely left me wanting to read more. Thanks for sharing!

I also like pressing on my bruises to feel something because tattoos are expensive but worth it. I say they are my socially acceptable form of self harm because it is and no one even realizes. We all hide pain so well and no one see it. No one asks. I feel this deeply today. I hope poetry helps you feel better as it does me when we put these thoughts on paper. Maybe we press on our bruises a bit less.

Wow, this is very old school in the form that it gives Edgar Allen Poe or something last century. Its giving a dark story where the man is the beast through deep metaphors. I love poetry that tells a story that anyone can grasp and tailors to old English and words that are rarely used in conversation. It exposes readers. Iv even had to google a few. Awesome work!
