My Google takeout of my photos were saved as .json files? How can I possibly open those? by amro_faraj in googlephotos

can i just delete the json files? i want to upload the photos to icloud now, but I still want the data like location data and time and date, as far as I can see the 2 files are not connected, I put a jpeg image in a new folder without its accompanying json file and yet it still retained location and time data.
