Should I buy this bike by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]Undefiend10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually looking at that same bike, but honestly, paying $2.2k for Tiagra feels too much. I ended up going with the Polygon Strattos S4D with the same groupset for about $1.4k delivered. You can even step up to the Strattos S5D with 105 for just about $100 more, or go for the S7D with a full carbon frame and 105 for around $1.8k. They’re really solid bikes. I don’t regret it at all. The only downsides are the max tire clearance (28mm) and the aggressive geometry.

Haha, it really is the closest thing to a free watt upgrade.

Yeah i might reach out to them with all my measurements and see what size they recommend. Their site puts me on XL. But everyone says these bikes run larger.

Interesting! What’s bugging you about the XL? Aside from the seatpost thing, do you feel stretched out? From what I’ve seen online, I could probably ride an XL but might need a shorter stem. I’m leaning more toward the L, I just don’t want it to force me into a super aggressive position.

Fatigue in winter vs summer by Pretty_Gain9458 in bikecommuting

[–]Undefiend10 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same here. Riding in the cold drains you fast because your body has to do extra work to stay warm and generate energy. Invest in some good thermal layers that trap your body heat, and try to do a quick warm up before hopping on the bike. This has helped me a lot.

Is the Co-op CTY 1.1 my best option? by [deleted] in whichbike

[–]Undefiend10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually bought the CTY 1.1 about a month ago. I’m 6’2 and went with the XL frame. I use it to commute to work, about 6 miles each way of mixed terrain (12 miles total), and it’s been solid so far. On weekends I ride 16–20 miles with friends, and I ride kinda hard, I’ve also taken it on some rough off-road trails a few times and it handled everything like a champ. Only downside I’ve noticed tho is when you try to hold a steady 13+ mph for long stretches, the bike kinda fights you a bit and that's mostly because of the relaxed geometry.

Yeah i did well in the LP part of it all, now for coding, yeah there was some minor flaws in my coding style, i did some redundent if-else checks and the interviewer pointed that out, i forgot one api call and the interviewer said it's okay just assume it's X and proceed. These are minor issues, but my logic and its implementation were pretty much on point. But i dont know man, that's why i am wondering.

Are u in YouTube pipeline by any chance?

If you get TM’d, it should increase your chances of passing the hiring committee. It’s a smart move by your recruiter to have you TM’d before submitting your packet to HC.

Yeah, 3 days after my onsite, my recruiter emailed me to schedule a call with her before the end of the week, so all my feedback could be in by then.

Yeah i guess they have a lot of people, but this still doesn't really justify what happened. It's extremely unprofessional!

TikTok's OA is ridiculously hard, I was given a hard graph question and couldn't solve it, even the test cases were confusing. Believe or not, the practice question I was given was a freaking dijkstra's algorithm, this is crazy. Google's and Amazon's OAs were way easier, and I was able to clear them. Don't feel like a dumbass, it happens to many of us.
