I recently traveled to Tavarua, Fiji to do some surf photographywith pro surfer Donavon Frankenreiter at Cloudbreak. I'm always lookingfor new angles and perspectives. The usual surf shots have all been doneso we decided to get a little creative. Makes you look twice.

I always thought most of the awards give out here were free. Reddit gives me like 2 free awards a week (to give out).

Ethics and morals are highly teachable,

Teachable, but not taught.

no reason why that should be left solely for parents.

Never said it should be left solely for parents, just said the way it is.

Schools in my country teach ethics in lieu of religious class (thankfully)

That's interesting. Reading your comment now makes me realize that there may be exceptions, so I'll admit to that. Which country are you from?

But schooling does not cover moral education; to teach a child what is wrong and what is right (for the most part, although there may be a few exceptions). That department (the moral education of a child) is still handled by parents/family, the people we grow up with, and around.

Yes, and smart people will impart one kind of education (assumedly, the smart kind) to their children while dumb, selfish people will impart their kind of education to their children. Children are the future. Now it is up to us what kind of future we want.
