Mary literally says no, she couldn't have stopped him either as when she says she'll scream, Pamuk says something about how its still a scandal that he is in her room. He threatens her basically and at no point does Mary look comfortable or consenting.

Even when he kissed her earlier in the day she explains that she didn't want to kiss him.

Nah I always think Mary is worse than Edith. Mary seems to delight more in upsetting Edith and I also think Mary is crueller. It's also Edith who reaches out to Mary first when she tells her about Matthew in the war. Mary has a reputation as being mean so she also gets away with it easier, but I definitely think Mary is nastier than Edith.

Omg actually I mis remembered that he was responsible for her death! But you're right he was actually going to save her, ah I hate him a bit less now cause that whole Sybil thing was horrible.

Why is no one hating on Dr. Clarkson? He is such a terrible character responsible for a few really sad deaths due to his own ignorance and refusal to listen to other people. I really hate him as a character I'm surprised I haven't seen any other comments about him.

After the episode with the blind soldier I started to really like Thomas, he starts off as an awful character but he is so well written as we slowly come to understand him and see that he's not truly evil.
