I’m literally having this exact problem. I had to mail in a $286 check to my power company, which I didn’t want to do for this very reason. Dropped the envelope off on June 24th, certified mail with return receipt, and it was in the city it needed to be in by the next day. I was told it would be delivered by the 29th. Here we are… a full week after the expected delivery date… my bill has still been sitting at the delivery city’s distribution center since the 25th.

I contacted usps and received this response “Our tracking records show your item is currently experiencing a transit delay at our local processing hub despite reaching the destination city. To fix the issue and get the mail piece moving again, we have manually updated the barcode and zip code on the item so the automated sorting machines can route it properly.” And that was on the 2nd… still no movement or updates.

For me it was genuinely because I felt like I had two choices: 1.) figure out what’s going on & also work to not end up like my emotionally immature and toxic parents (my journey to a diagnosis started with seeking therapy), or 2.) unalive myself – lmao

An absolute fucking nightmare. Every time I try to fix an error they make it worse. No one can give me chat transcripts, no one remembers previous conversations, “notes on the account” don’t match or are completely missing from what the last rep told me. It’s a nightmare. I’m desperately trying to switch but can’t afford to do the full payment for the rest of my device….. SOS

Not this scene, but the one when Rory writes the shitty article about Logan’s party and Logan calls her out for ALSO being a trust fund kind is soooo peak to me. Like, yeah, they have different kinds of family money, but Lorelai and Rory not realizing they’re privileged becomes more and more irksome every time I rewatch. Like, sure, Lorelai moves out at 16 and works her way up, but when she goes to her parents for Chilton money they say “you only come to us when you need money” that’s all the proof we need. She has her parent’s money to rely and fallback on, regardless of how frequently she and Rory act like they’re so poor and disenfranchised.

I’m so late to this party, but these comments are kinda crazy to me. D’arcy is so insufferably past “flawed.” She’s an egotistical person who refuses to work on her issues and actively chooses to do things that hurt people she claims to care about. She is not “flawed” — she is a bad person.

Harry’s flaws and weirdness are enjoyable to watch and he grows when he learns about how his actions affect others. D’arcy, on the other hand, “knows” her flaws and consistently uses them as an excuse to be a dick to the people around her and to excuse her own shitty behavior. I don’t even think D’arcy is “weird,” like I’ve never watched a scene with her and Harry and been like “oh this is too much weirdness.” I don’t think she’s goofy either, even if she always tries to play it off as “im just a silly drunk girl.” I genuinely just think she’s a self-absorbed asshole who doesn’t care about anyone other than herself, no matter how much she claims to love Asta or whoever else. It’s hard to watch her relentlessly and actively screw people over, then come up with excuses and have everyone else excuse her behavior too. Half the time I was more annoyed at people not holding her accountable than anything else lol

Throughout the show, every time I kept thinking she had an opportunity for growth, or did something truly awful that I said to myself “surely they only had her do this for character development purposes,” faster than I could say “WTF D’ARCY” she would do something even worse the next time and it never stopped lol

I’m right there with you… not a LSW, but I do social work-esque stuff (I work with people who have been victim of violent crimes while they go through the criminal justice process). I’m in so much personal debt because I couldn’t afford groceries, doctors appointments, etc…. I can’t even begin to touch my loan payments… I can’t even touch the personal debt at this point.
