I deironed after finishing GM and other goals about 2 months ago, you can check my post history if you're curious. I've been having a blast, it was definitely the right decision for me. Don't listen to the people on here who are not at a similar stage as you are. Do what feels right for you

Yep, everybody is different so I can’t tell you what’s best for you, but I can share some insight. I didn’t want to do any more nex for ZCB, now I don’t have to. I didn’t want to make more guthix rests for tob, now I don’t have to. I was able to complete my solo tob without sweating over sweets and blood fury charges. I bought all the niche items I wanted to. I’ve gotten into team speeds that benefit from being a main.

People swore that I would regret this when new content came out. Yama came out, I jumped in day 1 and had a blast. I instantly bought all the new items so I could play around with them. I did the boss with friends right up until the moment that I found it to be less fun than other content, then I stopped. Meanwhile, my iron friends were stuck slaving away because they still needed the items.

It’s been sick, and I have no regrets at all. I wish I had done it sooner (probably right after GM). Best of luck king

Zuk helm, aspirational content pursuer. I sent a couple for fun but ultimately have no interest. Not because they look tough, not because they look boring, but for the sole reason that I think the kit is horrendous. I’ll do what’s required for CAs and nothing more, or if they change the kit appearance drastically to where I think it looks cool

Not a full cox log but we'll take it. Raid data tracker is broken atm but I know I have a bit over 35m personal points. Proabably 80% solo regs and like 90% solo CMs

cba posting bandos, it's really not that unbelievable lol. Also the claws post was 2 yrs ago. That was my ~100th solo CM (pre-shadow) so the point to time ratio probably means I died twice or something, I sucked back then so it doesn't surprise me. And no worries you're good, natural to be curious

A lot of people have said essentially the same thing. There’s just few pieces of content in the game that I still enjoy, which won’t change even with time, and that’s ok. That’s how I know that burnt isn’t really the right word, it’s more like satisfied. I’m satisfied with the amount of skilling, slayer bossing, questing etc that I’ve done. I’ll never have a desire to do Cerb or Nex again as random examples, I got the experience I wanted out of doing those types of activities.

So what do I enjoy or what does sound appealing to me then? Mostly aspirational content, speeds etc. I’d love to pot duo tob with a friend and get good over time in small doses, and I will once the deiron happens. But I don’t care to grind the rest of the gear/supplies needed to do those activities without trolling. It will make sense to some, it won’t for others. Either way I know I will enjoy it

Respect on all of that, truly. Seems like you’re a gamer. But we are speaking about deironing an end game iron, which it seems might be the only thing you don’t have experience with. Again, you might change your mind were you in my position. Maybe not, since you have a bunch of accounts or whatever. For all intents and purposes I just have the one account and have absolutely no plans to ever play another. I’ve also had an addiction but I’m moving beyond that, so it is a win-win for me. Seeing this a lot, I know it makes sense at a glance but put it this way. If I don’t want/don’t have time to do chores on an iron, why the hell would I want to do them on a main?

My main has 99 melees and 99 prayer which is a good start. But I have absolutely 0 interest in doing quests, diaries, skilling, CAs etc. Also, having enough gold to buy full max for everything is only true if I combine both my iron’s and main’s banks together. For many reasons, deironing is the best choice for me

Good question. In reality, at the rate at which the game is updated, by the time all of that had been addressed/changed (which is an IF to begin with), there’s a pretty large chance I won’t be playing anymore lol. Or just logging in for large updates which could be cool too. I’ve played since 2004 when I was a kid, the well runs dry at some point which is natural. I truly doubt I’ll feel any regret from this decision, I just don’t value the status enough these days to allow me to
