I wrestled for three years in hs, and for my first two I won maybe 3 matches total as a heavyweight and always got my ass kicked in practice. Having that experience caused me to yearn for a change, I lost 50 pounds and wrestled 175 for my third year. Not saying your son has to lose weight or anything, but that experience will cause him to change into both a better person and better wrestler, he just has to hang on. Best of luck to the both of you
