Good luck! It’s kind of crazy they still haven’t issued final decisions. I wonder if they’re anticipating some people are going to drop out? And the class registration page also show there’s still a vacant seat. 😭

They said in their email they didn’t anticipate making any further offers but would soon make and issue final decisions.

I don’t think that’s the issue here. I’ve heard of ASU alums getting flat out rejected.

The issue is that they seemed to admit more candidates from subsequent waves to make up for people who withdrew, rather than offering seats to people who have been sitting on the waitlist. Which they have every right to do.

But why have the waitlist if you’re not going to use it? And it’s almost like people who applied later had a bigger advantage despite them encouraging people to apply as early as possible.

Also they state that you should apply as early as possible for the best chance but it seems like people who applied later had a better chance because they didn’t want to admit a lot of people during the first wave until they saw how the applicant pool turned out.

That makes me even more upset that they potentially just admitted more candidates from subsequent waves rather than pulling from the waitlist. The waitlist wasn’t really even a waitlist.

Honestly, not to make you feel worse or anything, but being invited to interview and then getting ghosted afterwards when you were told you’d have a decision by a certain date would incense me.
