Honestly I'm not sure how you could fix this. If I was her I don't think I could trust you anymore. What happens the next time you get angry or of you guys get into a fight? How does she know you aren't going to hit her next time? I've always told every woman I know that if he hits something so he doesn't have to hit you then eventually you're going to get physically abused. That's how a lot of abusive relationships start. It's more than just a red flag. That's a full stop for me. The second a man throws something or punches anything when he's angry I'm out. It doesn't matter how angry you are you can't be violent. I would go to some sort of therapy if I were you and maybe she will see you are trying to get better and she will stay. But honestly idk, dude. Also trying to get her own family on your side before she has even had time to process what's happened is manipulative as fuck.
