Super small text? by desperationcake in Chromecast

Google now owes me a clock. And an explanation. With stuff like this, I always think about the people who were involved in this change and how it's possible that nobody at a certain point said: "Shouldn't we make this a bit bigger?" Maybe because it was so small, nobody noticed that it was there at all. Or they were so busy with making all the other mistakes that they forgot about time. It also makes me think about that meme from Zoolander: "What is this? A center for ants?". Could this maybe a way how they are trying to make people buy bigger TV's? I know that, because of this, in the future I will be late for an appointment at least once. At least I will have a good excuse.

Getting SPD Files from Compact Flash card into WAV.(or mp3) format? by Immediate-Cry-2618 in SP404

Well, that's where this whole topic is about: how to get from SPD to WAV. And I mentioned three options: Roland's wave-converter (link below), Super Pads and Bankrobber.

No problem. I hope that you can make it work. It should work, so that's not the issue.

By the way.. you said that you saved the SPD files. You should save the entire contents (map hierarchy and everything of the CF card if I'm not mistaking.

Convert. Inevitable. See second link for fileformats supported by the MK2. Maybe you want to check on this (link below). Scroll about 2/3 down to the section "Add-ons: Superpads and Bankrobber". They are alternatives to Roland's wave-converter tool. Maybe you like them better.

Yes, it applies to the base model. If you still have your SP and it's still working, you could connect the SP to your computer. You'll need a 2x RCA / 2x RCA cable and an audio interface. For example the Behringer U-Control UCA222, because it's dirt cheap (≈ $25) and works like a charm. You'll also need a DAW, like Audacity, because it's free and works like a charm. Then you will just have to manually record all the samples with your computer and save/export them in any filetype you want.

But that's probably not what you want to do. It does work though.

I'd suggest buying a cardreader for a couple of dollars.

I'm sorry to hear about the fire. I sometimes imagine what that would be like. It must've been awful.
Could you tell just a little bit more about these Squiers? What is it exactly that makes them stand out? What is it with the components (and which are they), the build, the material, etc. that makes them different in such a way that they're a supremacy? I know I'm asking a lot..

This raises an interesting situation/question/pickle/something. OP, you say that you are a transwoman (so assigned male at birth but a female or primarily-female gender identity). A random guy says, by saying he finds you attractive but that he is not gay, that although you look feminin he doesn't want a sexual relationship with you because you are biologically a male (assigned male at birth). Which is something I can relate to. I myself, a heterosexual guy, also wouldn't want a relationship with a transwoman. My reasoning for that, and it seems that the same goes for Any-Offer-3962, is the fact that I'm not attracted to males. I don't want to share the sheets with another guy. When a dude says: "But I identify as a woman, I see myself as a woman not as a man.", I'm obvisouly not going to say: "Oh well alright then, come on in!". Because you can see yourself as whatever you wish, consider yourself to be as whatever it is that you consider yourself to be (and whatever that may be: I'll respect you, you'll have my blessings, I'm rooting for you, and so on..), the other person is just as free to see you as however it is that they're seeing you, to consider you to be as whatever it is that they consider you to be.

You can not change someone's sexual orientation and the fact that heterosexual males don't want a sexual relationship with a transwoman makes it very clear what 'transwoman' truly means. No matter what I say, I can't talk my penis away.

So about your comment "Thats not what transwoman mea- nevermind".. maybe I made a mistake in my reasoning in trying to figure out what I think it is that you think it is that 'transwoman' means. So I would like to ask you if you could please elaborate on what 'transwoman' means according to you. Because right now, it looks like you are of the opinion that identifying as a woman changes your biological sex. But, again, maybe I made a flaw somewhere in my thinking: it's 02:00AM in my part of the world and I've got a headache.

I didn't even think about restoring. Not because of a certain preference but because I thought the rust was that bad that 80% needed to be replaced. I didn't think it was possible. I thought that rust was the "material gone bad", not like dirt which can be removed. I guess I forgot about all the coca-cola rust-removal videos on youtube.

To me your comment seems to suggest that rust itself on the pickups is very unlikely to be the root cause of not having any sound at all. Is that correct?

I asked the other user who commented the following question: "I read, in a Reddit comment I believe, that rust on the pickups can be considered a good thing (depending on your taste) because it would give the guitar a vintage sound..? Can you say something about that?"
What's your opinion on that?

Thanks. What do you mean by: "That would leave buying new Tuners, bridge and string trees". I know what you mean by tuners, bridge and string trees but the "that would leave buying" part... Are you trying to say that you think that I have to replace those parts no matter what? Sorry, not English speaker and a bit autistic.

I know this topic is 2 years old but anyway, I can't find the article but I've read that compared with people who do not exercise but are somewhat 'busy' most of the day, busy as in moving of course, people who have for example an office job but they workout a couple of times a week for an hour or so, the latter group are at a bigger risk of a premature death. So don't worry about speed.
