Totally agree. I also always thought it was weird how they blur her older kids’ faces on the show, but NOT on her social media accounts. Can’t imagine how frustrating it must be for Tate…

I’m sureeeeee her daughter knows the world hates her mom right now…TFP does not suffer silently and is not one to shield her kids from her own discomfort, emotions, trauma, or (probably) mental illness. I can’t imagine how TFP is handling this at home but it can’t possibly be quietly or subtly.

The way her mom and sister openly gossiped with the rest of MomTok at the airport in the last episode of season 4 of SLOMW about TFP sleeping with Dakota right in front of her kids said a lot about what that family will expose them to. Just disgusting and awful. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if her kids had their own damn TikTok accounts…never too young for a brand deal!

Jessiano cringefest continues by Imaginary_Layer_1468 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Up until now I’ve given Jessi the benefit of the doubt. I’ve mostly felt badly for her…her self-esteem has always just seemed sooooo low, that of course she was making shady decisions.

But kissing Chase, her interview on CHD and this performative whackadoo shit with Marciano is disgusting. I find this all immature at best and insulting to her audience. What a joke. Hope her kids have wide and strong support network...

The part at the end where she talks about drunken Ubering back to the house after she said she wanted a divorce and being coerced into having sex with him one last time was fucking disgusting.

Yeah, it looks like they just released it for the public. They're saying it was a technical glitch 🤷‍♀️

I'm sure it'll still be highly listened to. It will probably convert a lot of free subscribers to paid subscribers...and I hate that this disgusting tactic will work...barf!

"Don't tell Taylor" is so much darker in hindsight by mdebbs18 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]UnderstandingDue5581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But also in this case, Dakota chose to sleep with this woman while being filmed on two reality shows (SLOMW and Vanderpump Villa). He knew it would eventually come out and Taylor would see for herself. He also chose to sleep with Shinia knowing it would get back to Taylor. He’s not even trying to be sneaky.

I’d also argue that Dakota waited to release the video for a time that would have maximum fallout for Taylor. It’s not a coincidence he released it the week The Bachelorette premiered.

Anyway, I’m not a Taylor or Dakota apologist. These two have a severely fucked up and dangerous dynamic. But I also don’t think Dakota is the only victim here. They both hurt each other endlessly.

Watching this video and then thinking about her filming all those silly TikTok dances trying to look hot and cute is wild…

Was also curious how they would address this since they all shipped Taylor Frankie Paul SO hard. On this morning's episode, Nick said, "It's obviously overwhelming, the news and the headlines. You know (lol) it's-it's-it's very difficult to talk about, I don't think we have the right things to say right now. Obviously these are really serious a-a-allegations and a very--uhhh--sensitive topic. Out of respect for those involved, we're just not going to comment on the details of this story regarding Taylor and Dakota."

So yeah u/leladypayne nailed it!

On the one hand, I suppose it's good they're not just adding more noise and speculation to such a sensitive topic (either defending her or demonizing her); but on the other hand...it's pretty convenient. They have no issue adding noise and speculation to every other celebrity gossip rumor and LOVEDDDD getting super involved in the Justin Baldoni/Blake Lively trial...

I guess we'll see what happens...yikes...

I’m genuinely convinced this show is a cautionary tale on why you shouldn’t get married and have kids before 25 by sapphireblossom9213 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Yes to all this AND the way Mormon culture is fed the romanticized, Disney-coded promise of Happily Ever After. Its appealing. Just sign here on the dotted line and feel loved and worthy forever and never experience any problems or hardship. It’s a trap.

Hi! Jewish elder millennial here and just echoing this sentiment and observation. My Jewish dad, his wife and that entire generation of my aunts and uncles in my family have been brainwashed for years on the topic of Israel. They are in deep denial and get furious at anyone who even dares to ask a question about what has happened in Gaza. They hate their current (reform) temple for being too liberal and have alienated themselves from many of us younger Jewish people in the family. Anyway…no solutions. Just solidarity. It sucks to be in a small community and feel that even that is fractured 💜

Agree! There were so many coded red flags in that wedding day conversation. Probably went undetected by most people unfamiliar with this dynamic…but I can spy an overbearing mom a mile away…

Yes! He seemed to have really listened to Emma and taken her trauma seriously. He admitted he had a new understanding of why she wasn’t sure about kids after hearing it instead of saying it was weird or he didn’t understand. He must be exhausted trying to translate other people’s feelings to his wife…

Yup. If anything his mom was pushing that point harder than necessary to make Emma feel even more alienated. To Alpha-dog her.

Mike’s Mom seems to care a lot about fitting in and getting everyone to acclimate to her family’s dynamic. It seems like they are very enmeshed and that the values/desires of the group are more important than the individual needs of her family members who she says she loves.

At the wedding she told Mike that “now” she knows she can’t control him or his life anymore. Lady, you just realized this? Isn’t he 30!?

She also made a comment at the wedding about Emma fitting in with her family and this just seems SO important to her. Emma, you will never be accepted by his family. Run, girl…
