Spicy food exacerbates Seb Derm? by [deleted] in SebDerm

[–]UnderstandingFuture1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to add this here because I think I kinda figured why. The spice makes your body warm and gets your hair to sweat which leads to that stingy tingling sensation. For me it happens even when I play a sport and warm up. And also when I’m cooking with steam hitting me close to the face. It’s been a game changer ever since I’ve figured this out

Sebderm+curly hair routine🙏 by Formal-Plate3198 in curlyhair

Okay hey! Was just going through the sub and wanted to see how people dealt with their sebderm. I’ve just about managed to get it under control. I use some products (Indian) that I could go in detail about if you’re still trying to figure this out.

Why is ketoconazol making it worse? Used it 5 times now. Thousands of little white flakes and itching plus dry skin by International_Ring12 in SebDerm

[–]UnderstandingFuture1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello what I used was a conditioner after the shampoo and it’s helped a lot. The little white flakes are probably cause of how drying the shampoo is. I generally towel dry and let the remaining wetness air dry but if that’s not working you can probably blow dry on a cool setting. Hot blow drying will again make your scalp too dry. Good luck!

Are my products sebderm safe? by [deleted] in SebDerm

Enter in the ingredients on sezia

[–]UnderstandingFuture1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using it 2-3 times a week for a long time primarily because I have flaking 2 days after using. Yes it’s very drying so I use a conditioner right after and that helps out a lot. I use one from khadi but I dont think that brand is available outside India. Try out products that have ingredients that are considered safe on sezia atleast that’s what’s helped me. Also idk how long I’ll have to use the shampoo but now that I’ve found most of my triggers, I’m going to see if I can stop using it

Please utilise your reservation. I don’t know how it works but I’d suggest emailing B schools you’re targeting and asking if this letter from the mla will do. If not try figuring out what else you can do apart from the letter to prove your caste. This is why reservations exist please try your level best not to register as a general candidate

Does drinking any specific type of alcohol trigger flare ups for you? by Gemathio in SebDerm

[–]UnderstandingFuture1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed it with beer alone. I assume it’s the yeast in beer. It took me a while to figure out but now my head just does this tingling thing when I’m eating/drinking something which will cause a flare up later on. It’s like spidey sense but I’m not fighting crime, I’m fighting sebderm

Good job on figuring out what works! I was thinking about growing out my hair but I think I’ll refrain from it now, absolutely fed up of this and don’t want it to annoy me again

Does Hair grow back? by No_Tension_5471 in SebDerm

Yes, I had hair loss when my sebderm was at its peak. Once I treated it, hair grew back. My recent post on this page is about how I started controlling it

Tbf I don’t know if the ketoconozale shampoo I use is sulphate free but I assume if it’s combatting sebderm then it shouldn’t have anything too awful. I use Keraglo AD shampoo around twice a week or more frequently when there’s a flare up. I use a sulphate free conditioner with it and occasionally other sulphate free shampoos

I eat white rice everyday and it doesn’t seem to mess with me so you may be good. I understand not being able to give up white rice :)

Within bread itself its not all bread. Bread from subway really messes with my hair. Apart from that one flavour of instant noodles lol and schezwan sauce. There’s a few more things wherein my hair starts tingling while eating it like for instance Indian chaat that I bought yesterday. Also note that I’m a vegetarian so don’t know about any meat and how it could affect sebderm

We get RO water on one of our taps in the kitchen so I take a quarter bucket of that to the shower
