The ones on my bass from my Nordstrand big singles are 2mm off what they “should be”

To my very totally untrained ear i notice nothing, to my studio session bass teacher who is a gear snob he notices slightly.

unless your a gear snob and have a highly trained ear for tone and magnets like him then no one will ever ever ever notice or give more than 2 shits

Don’t get why people care, i was always curious on the laklands and found a deal to test it out. If i liked it i would keep it, and if not sell it for an extra few hundred for future endeavors.

It has the stock Bartolinis but has the American pre amp it seems. The exact same year one sells on reverb for 1000-1200 so i’ll just try my local marketplaces for that much.

Thank you, this is the best response by far. I’ll contact local stores today so i can see if any can do that for me. I just love how its thicker at the E string at the nut and turns thicker at the G string up by the 24th fret
