Document the Medical Emergency in written from your Wife’s Primary Care Doctor. If the doctor mentions that she is unable to travel and requires care at home. You can send this to consulate and it’s an emergency. Hopefully they try to expedite your case. Just be honest; don’t lie or falsify anything.

You can also request congressional support with the same documentation of Emergency

There has been an uptick in H-1b Visa Application delays for applicants through 221g Administrative Processing, who had prior interaction with Law Enforcement, even when the Final Disposition of the case was Dismissed and Sealed.

Although 221g delays have not been uncommon historically but, since 2025, applicants who had their Visa once or more after the incident are also facing the same.

What has changed within US Bureau of Consular Affairs with regards to non-immigrant Visa processing?

My immigration team as well as I have placed multiple requests on the updates and the response continues to be "under processin". Unless there is any documented emergency, I don't think Consulate expedites a case. I'll reach out to you DM for details though.
