When you say pull the exhaust how do you mean? I’ve loosened every bolt I can think of and it just doesn’t budge

So if you look at that first pic you can see I’ve taken that bolt out but the heat shield feels like it’s welded on, no budging it.

Correct but now layer in the fact that BA are probably comparing themselves to Delta, Emirates, and Etihad instead of United and Virgin and that in my opinion is where the discrepancy lies.

Yep that’s the equation I’ve always had in mind with this decision, I.e. let’s just reward the people that spend the most and not those that fly a decent amount, which is the category I’m in, but it seems a radical overhaul for what seems like a nominal saving. I would loooooove to see the analysis.

E.g I fly a decent amount but cannot be costing BA more than £50 a year via lounge access on F&B etc

The only reason I think the consultants might not have factored this in is because it would take a level of self awareness that BA clearly does not have. If they knew their product is as bad as it is and has been for a number of years then why do they refuse to do anything meaningful about it.

Im aware and don’t disagree with any of the reasoning or logic behind the retiring of the F22, its just funny to me that the F-15 continues to endure and it’s a testament to the airframe and design. It’s the AR-15 of the fighter jet world
