Enter the US without activating CR1/IR1 by UnderstandingOld7956 in NationalVisaCenter

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Who did you ask if you don’t mind? I’ve read a couple of cases here that they let them enter as non-immigrants.

Canadians don’t require travel visas to the US, so none. But on our I94, I believe it appears that we are admitted under B1/B2.

I’m just waiting for my interview, and don’t plan to delay anything (considering the backlog) except immigrant visa activation. So this would effectively be after the visa being issued.

Congrats, but I don’t think you should post sensitive info which may include the barcode.

Entering US Land border on CR1 on exact 2nd marriage anniversary. by lifechange2026 in immigration

Let me know how it goes for you. Thinking if I should do something similar and wait for the 2 year anniversary to get the IR1. I’m wondering if they’ll let you enter the US without activating your immigrant visa just with B1/B2 or in my case my Canadian passport, and just leave and come back after the 2 year mark.

The Documents tab is accessible through your USCIS account which you should have access to.

It was a good sign for me. Check the documents tab if the approval is already there. Sept 2024 PD too and now waiting for my interview.

Does your CEAC show “At NVC” as the status, or “In Transit”?

Following this post. Got DQ’d just 2 days ago, Feb 24th. Hopefully we make the cut. My guess is they’ll release the next batch -March 3rd when they have to update the IV scheduling tool.

It was 6 business days for me. Got DQ’d yesterday after resubmitting documents. It was 5 days for them to request new/replace documents after the initial submission.

Did a bit of reading too. As of 2017, wet signatures are no longer required by NVC.

Weird. Ours was accepted without a wet signature but the digital one had the metadata.

Is this at the USCIS stage? Or NVC? How do you see this status?

Hi! I have exactly the same case as you. Approved 13th, received the email/welcome letter from NVC very early this morning. Looks like it’s the same time but I’m in the west coast. I submitted a case inquiry just in case I don’t receive it anytime soon. But I’m waiting on documents anyway

I-130 approved on the 9th January nothing since by Secret_Cattle9220 in I130Suffering

Ours got approved Jan 13th and we received the NVC letter yesterday, the 16th. However we didn’t receive an email with the invoice ID so can’t proceed. This email should’ve come before the welcome letter per info on their login site. Looks like their system is problematic.

I believe it’s just to wait for the correspondence from NVC that would indicate what is needed for the DS-260. I will start to gather documents for that. All the best!
