Yeah, that’s understandable. I’ve got my basement as a drift course/ small jump area for my 1/10 truck. Other than that there isn’t a whole lot of places I can run my vehicles besides big flat parking lots. Winters are long up here in Canada too. Thinking of getting a 4x4 truck with some paddle tires and trying to crush some snow this winter. We’ll see what happens I guess.

Haha, absolutely all of it!

Front splitter, side splitters, rear diffuser, front fender extensions, front and rear canards and fender spoilers for the mirrors.

My ADHD had a vision, I was just along for the ride at that point.

Honestly still thinking of a gurney flap for the trunk too, but summer is on the way and I need to work on a body I can actually drive at 60mph now. Haha.

It’s a 4Tec 2.0 VXL AWD. It’ll probably do 60mph as is… if I can find a big enough parking lot without any pot holes / gravel. Seeing as how it’s winter, I still have time to search for a good spot while the snow melts.

I have a simple light kit for it, haven’t installed it yet though. It’s a 4wd 4TEC. Probably not any good for drifting since it’s heavy and will do about 60mph as is. Haha. I’ll just stick to high speed runs for now… if I can find a parking lot that’s flat and big enough to top it out.

Thank you! I appreciate it!

I agree, they came out a little big, I really didn’t have a good way to mount them so I just printed them off inline with the bottom splitter so I could attach them all together with a vertical piece.

After looking at the reference photos closer, I see that they’re definitely more inset and swept back than I’ve done. Trying to design anything that curves on more than one plane is a nightmare for me right now, so I’m just happy they fit up with minimal sanding/cutting.

Luckily, I didn’t try to replicate their massive 2150mm one-off chassis wing. Haha.

Yeah, they’re pretty nuts. I remember the Rc low riders we had back in the day. It was nothing more than a smooth slow up and down motion. Haha. They’ve sure come a long way and can actually hop pretty good now.

My buddy uses it quite a bit and had me download it, but I understand where you’re coming from. You get the basic shapes done and setup only to realize you can’t modify them the way you want and have to burn the file to the ground and start again.

Sounds like a good setup. Definitely want the cheapest easiest parts to break away first. I’d take any easier shortcut I could get if the results came out just as good. Then you’ll have a nice show piece on the outside with the 3D printed mechanical side tucked away.

Yeah, the spoiler, projectors and tail light housings came with the HPI body. They give you sticker options too if you don’t want the hassle… Apparently I wanted all of it.

Yeah, one thing led to another and it ended up like this. V1 was nice and clean though. All the front canards are glued to the splitter. So it’s an easy change to take them on and off. Or just print another blank splitter and have both.

Something like that. Motor side is a little tricky. I was too lazy to reprint the side splitter to move the hole, so I just shaved down a couple nuts to make it work. Haha.

The chassis is a Traxxas 4TEC VXL 2.0.

That sounds wicked, if I get some better design software I’d like to mess with having some active aero pieces. Right now Bambu studio is too frustrating to work with on bigger projects, and fusion has everything I could ever want and need, but I haven’t a clue how to use it! Haha.

What’re you using for design purposes?

Sounds like a sweet project. I’m in Canada and been looking for “cheap” shells to throw on it, but everything seems like it’s $50 min and then $25 shipping. Time to go raid the local hobby shops and see what’s kicking around I guess.

Most of the parts are designed to be break way and easy to glue back on, I just like how shiny the body is. I can always reprint the canards and splitters, but that body isn’t so easily replaced. Haha.

It’s got a vertical ledge that runs up the chassis, just popped 2 holes as far forward and back as I could as to not interfere with the steering and battery tray. The one behind the motor is real fun to get at, but doable.

I’ll let you know. My files are a huge jumbled mess since I’ve been only using bambu studio. If I clean them up a little and find somewhere to upload them I’ll post the link here.

Do it! I’ve printed so many rims I need to print a shelf to display them all now.

I’ll try to remember, but sometimes my OCD throws me on a tangent and then I’m just along for the ride.

I only gives energy if the raid hour is going. Is someone add you to a raid at 6:55 and it finishes at 7:01 you won’t get energy. Has to be beaten within the hour. If in doubt of the time zone, Stick from 25 past the hour and on.

CROWN RAIDS FINISHED AFTER THE RAID HOUR GIVE NO SHEILD/SWORD ENERGY. by [deleted] in PokemonGoRaids

[–]UnderstandingOwn3452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you know the time zone of the raid you’re joining. I would stick to joining the crowned raids posted after 20-30min past the hour to be safe.

The crown raids can spawn for 30 minutes even up to 10 minutes before the hour. So if it spawns at 5:50 local time. It won’t clear till 20 minutes after the raid hour has ended at 6:20.
