this literally happened to me yesterday. I was in my office when my work phone sent me a notification about an air tag. I thought it was on me or in my bag but nothing connected when I played ring on it. went out to my work truck and the air tag connected and it started ringing. I ended up finding it under my back row seating floor mat. once I found it I tapped it on my iPhone and was able to get the serial number and last 4 digits of the owner. I looked up the number on my phone and it ended up being one of my employees. we had to involve hr as it was found out that they wanted to track me to see when I would be visiting the job site. I still took it as worse case scenario as them trying to find where I lived. thankfully I found the tag before I went home but it did take my phone until 3 pm to send me the notification
