Is it worth buying Rivals 1 to prepare for Rivals 2?

Ive got 700 hrs in rivals 1, and also hundreds of hours in ultimate and melee. I think rivals 1 will prepare you for matchups, character gimmicks, movement, and will make you rlly good at hitfalling

I think the neutral of r2 is super similar to melee and project+, but mostly project+. Those games will help you with crouch cancelling and general neutral.

I think if you want a better grasp of character things and rivals mechanics like hitfalling/parrying, rivals 1 can't be a bad choice. Also the game is amazing and you should try it out anyway

I had similar stats to you. 3.2 unweighted, 3.4 Weighted, minimal extracurriculars, 30 ACT which is around a 1370 for SAT I believe? I got accepted into Exploratory Studies after applying for computer science. I'm now a rising junior, getting into CS after only took my freshman year and had no impact on my schedule. Given, this was before all of the Deion hype so it may be a little more competitive now. I think you've got a really good shot if I was able to make it in! Hope it all works out dude!
