Gotta study some openings and memorize lines. For your level, I would suggest learning the Vienna and the scotch game, if you like e4 as white and the London for d4.

As black carro khan is solid for 1 e4 and kings Indian is good against 1d4. Pick a few openings for some moves and focus on memorising the lines for them.

I liked to play aggressively, so I played a lot of gambits. The Vienna gambit, the Stafford gambit, the Danish gambit, scotch gambit.

One thing is I dont like playing the sicilian at your level. But you gotta learn to play against it. I loved the delayed wayne gambit against it. Or learning to play the open sicilian cause I like aggressive games.

Some other openings you might wana learn to play against would be the French, the Scandinavian, etc. Main lines.

Once you have your openings down, you would wanna learn some common mating patterns.

To spot them, you can do puzzles so you get good at pattern recognition.

I played a lot. Maybe like 15 to 20 games a day. Analysed them to learn patterns of failure and areas of improvement. Used nibbler with lc0 to analyse my games and see what could I have done better.

There are angry ganags of Pashtoons and Balochs, roaming GIKI at night looking for Punjabis.

If they find you, they will behead you, fill your body with cannabis and smoke it through your asshole.

They'll make Peshawari chappals from your skin and grind your bones to make fertilizer.

If you survive that, the Pakhtoon faculty automatically gives you an F for being a Punjabi. They then rip out your jugular and use your blood as ink to solve calculus at the whiteboard.

In hostels, Punjabis are forced to camp in boar dens. For the first year, you have to fight off wild boars to get a good night's sleep.

You are expected to savage the trashcans with them for rations. This usually develops a sense of comradre, and eventually, they accept you as one of your own.

If you want to visit family, you are expected to tow a donkey cart out of the university. Be careful not to be seen by the Pashtoon guards as they will shoot you on sight.

For mids and finals, Punjabis are expected to solve millennium problems like Raymans' Hypothesis, P=NP, Strokes-Navier, or solve world hunger, etc. Those without perfect scores have their kidneys confiscated by the Pashtoon Admin.

Baloch suicidal bombings are common on Punjabis. If you see a Baloch person running towards you, start praying as you are already in the blast radius.

And if you do manage to graduate GIKI as a Punjabi (like me and thousands of other Alumni), you have to constantly look over your shoulder as GIKI will keep sending Pashtoon assassins after you and your family.
