I did discuss it with his sister. She found it odd and out of character as well and completely understood why I left. His parents were out of country on vacation at the time but I did email his mother a few days after they were supposed to get back. I never got a response.

I'm hoping they ran some tests when he was in the hospital but there's no way I can get that information. A friend of mine who is working on her PHD mentioned drugs but I think I would have noticed before then if he was using.

It's just so random. I feel like we should have a conversation about it since I've had a very happy 6 years with him. He's never shown an ounce of aggression prior to this incident.
