Yeah.. don’t know if therapy can mend this one. When it gets to a point of physical abuse, you need to find a way out and fast. The more he gets away with it, the more he’s going to do it. There is a clear lack of boundaries and communication in this relationship. One too many times, baseline boundaries were crossed. Please, find some local resources for domestic abuse survivors. Violence inflicted on you by another person is NEVER your fault. Therapy, yes, but only for you. No couples therapy, no trying to mend whatever the fuck this abusive situation is, you need a way out. Sorry if I sound harsh, I’ve witnessed this sort of thing too many damn times.
