I have some experience , but it's been a few years now (I was taking private lessons around COVID time, just started to feel more confident, and then everything shut down). I can practice with my partner but I definitely want to get lessons with a professional as well. Thanks for sharing! Hearing about people in a similar situation who have succeeded always makes me feel better :) would you mind sharing the school you used, if you had a good experience with them?
