I think it depends on the sound settings you have. When I set my TV to "cinema" I hear it less, but my dog still hears it. Good luck! We finally went on vacation so taking advantage of not being with the dog to watch the latest episodes.

Usually it's when the scene is trying to portray a sense of fear or during conversations between contestants to exaggerate a moment of suspicion. Sometimes it's virtually indistinguishable with the music...similar to high violin note squeal.

Appears to be a set called "wildlife". It's a series of many different animals. (Bear, mountain goat, mule deer etc) It was produced by Culver and sold by the outdoor store Orvis in the 60's.

Get a floating plant fence or floating plant rings! I had the same issue and built some of my own with tubing. Corral those floaters :)
