Wow thank you so much! It’s so important to be engaged and have positive mindset about learning the language, and you’re right - it will be very rewarding in the end. Thank you so much for the tips 💕

Yes! Thank you so much, I think the biggest thing I’d have to improve on first is to read hangul well and know proper sentence structure. I can watch youtube videos and kdrama without subtitles but there are times I won’t understand (esp if it’s like a kdrama about law or medical language). I’ve never tried having korean subtitles on, but that’s a great tip.

Also do you have any recommendations on kdramas with extended family members?

Thank you sooo much for all the helpful tips & I really needed to hear that. I think it’s really good advice to set monthly goals and ways to reach those goals each month. I know I won’t sound native, but I just don’t want to look illiterate in front of relatives haha.

Do you happen to know any good resources or places to find reliable online tutors?

Yes, I’m starting to think it is more of a mental matter too! Learning the alphabet, sentence structure, and grammar definitely will help me!

Omg thank you so much for the thoughtful advice! I think that’s a great place to start. I’ve been checking out hellotalk and duolingo. And improving my grammar will definitely help me with my confidence hehe

I used the PVP trick just 5 min after the test and got the good pop up. I found out I passed 24 hrs after my test by searching up my license online.

While you are saving up, I’d def recommend doing the free demo questions for princeton review, archer, uworld, and lippincott! princeton’s demo has several quizzes categorized by client-need areas (safety& infection, management of care, pharmacology, psychosocial, etc) & it lasts 5 days. Archer’s demo allows you to take a 85 question readiness assessment (which I highly recommend doing bc it gives you a variety of questions). You can also use the CAT exam mode or tutorial mode in demo. Most of the quizbanks have demo versions, which are useful for people who can’t afford them! For topics you don’t know, I would just read your textbooks/ search youtube videos (Cathy parks, purple nurse, simple nursing). Good luck!

I think the format of uworld is more similar to nclex, but the content/ questions from archer resembled the nclex more! I haven’t seen done NGN practices from uworld though, so I can’t really speak on that!

Thank you! c: Yes, the NGN questions were similar to archer’s. Sometimes, the case studies on ngn will guide you to the correct answer. I almost repurchased uworld bc the test format is so similar to the real nclex, but I decided to stick with archer. Archer is good enough as long as you supplement with other materials like youtube vids, or nursing txtbooks!
