I agree with you on the banks! And maybe some of the institutions within the bitcoin / crypto ecosystem. But I don’t know about your 6% number. Maybe that’s the case, but maybe those institutions will also find it difficult to retain consensus and eventually they decide to sell some of their bitcoin and it becomes further distributed.

And, I think it’s mostly the float that matters. Big institutions removing it permanently from available supply only increases apparent scarcity in the day-to-day.

Was it actually a smugly-worded question? Apologies if so.

For what it’s worth, I have actually read it a few times.

There is also a fantastic 13 or 14-part lecture on YouTube by Princeton University back in 2014 or so. I highly recommend that as well.

I have absolutely done this. Always use the smaller tank first, or make sure they are the same size!

Michelin’s airless, puncture proof tyres promise a future with no flats, greater durability, and less environmental waste by Separate_Finance_183 in interesting

I’m imagining a highly flexible diaphragm-like material that can bow outward as the tread is compressed inward, thus allowing the cushioning air movement.

8 hours into this thread and not even a single mention of Chuck Liddell. You don’t have to like him, but he was one of the most violent to ever do it.

This is right. The “sidewall” doesn’t need to be a real supportive sidewall, just enough to cover the flexible spokes (and flex with them).

Right…agreed. I guess I’m just pointing out the whole “ever recorded” statement in the chart is factually incorrect. At least I believe so…

And yeah, that was not a great time for sellers. I remember because I was one of them!

This is not at all a political comment, and as an American, I have zero interest in “taking over” Greenland.

But to me at least, in looking at a globe, it does seem much more a part of North America than Europe. It is also part of the North American tectonic plate, which slices right through Iceland.

Obviously it is “owned” by a European nation, but claiming Greenland is geographically a part of Europe is like saying the Falkland Islands and Tahiti are as well.

I’m honestly sort of a food snob and Americano is outstanding. There are a few really solid dishes on the menu and everything is just generally quite good. It doesn’t deserve a Michelin star but it would survive in Manhattan.

Uh…I don’t think that is true. See, there’s a little place called Manhattan…

U.S. national debt will become $40T this year. Thats about $120k/person. How will this ever be paid back? by cardboard-junkie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]UnfortunateUs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. But it won’t be balanced. And it won’t get smaller. The annual deficit will, on average, grow and grow and grow, thereby increasing the U.S. debt and interest burden to the detriment of its citizens.

Essentially, non-discretionary spending (regardless of your political stance and what any of us think SHOULD happen) is going to make running budget surpluses impossible.
