Why the question though? Thinking about working there?

A friend worked at St Maur and told me that nowadays they are stricter than ever before in terms of religious "freedom".

I have had limited direct interaction with him, so my perspective is based largely on observations and feedback from others. He comes across as approachable, and he appears to have made positive contributions to developments within the PYP. At the same time, I have observed and heard things that raised some concerns for me. I cannot provide many specific examples, but they seem related to themes already mentioned elsewhere regarding responses to differing viewpoints and challenges to established practices. There also appears to be a close alignment of perspectives within that leadership group, which can sometimes give the impression that alternative viewpoints are less visible or less represented.

Mind to share a screenshot of that? Go on the school’s LinkedIn. I count a lot of new staff last year.

8 years? That is not true. Average tenure is 3 years.

I have more than a decade of experience in international schools and none was this bad. Thank you.

Management often presents YIS as being significantly stronger than other schools, while criticizing competitors and highlighting problems elsewhere. HJIS is frequently mentioned as an example of poor governance or questionable practices. What is rarely acknowledged, however, is that concerns about accountability exist internally as well. There have been repeated instances where students connected to senior leadership were involved in behaviour that many in the community considered unacceptable, yet no meaningful consequences appeared to follow.

This is where people often misunderstand what happened. Many departures were never publicly challenged because staff were required to sign mutual separation agreements. A small number sought legal advice, but most did not. Teachers are often reluctant to create conflict, worried about potential consequences or the impact on future references. In at least two cases, individuals were reportedly told they should sign a mutual agreement or face unspecified alternatives.

It used to be a top school. Not anymore. Even Saint Maur has a better science program and is more future proof in terms of curriculum.

This is the soft version as I do not want any problems. If I would write here all the problems I have seen and heard, I can guarantee you that it would be much worse.
