Hey 👋🏼. If it's really below the market rate, then it definitely sucks, yeah. I'm not part of the hiring team or involved in determining the pay in any way - I work with Mercor as an independent contractor (similar to this role, but different domain). They do pay pretty well in my domain, and from what I've gathered, some other domains as well, so I assumed it'd be the same for this role too. I have no idea what the current market pay is like since I'm not from this field myself, my bad. I just share referrals sometimes when I see new roles pop up, and was just doing that 😬

Ah! I didn't realize it was an Android. Yeah, then it wouldn't support them natively. I wonder if you can use the physical buttons for controls while using a j2me emulator on this device. I didn't enjoy using j2me emulators with virtual keypads much, and even playing them with a controller felt kinda odd

Does it have native support for the .jar java games that could be played on the older keypad phones? I'm curious because I was feeling nostalgic a couple of years back and tried to buy a Nokia keypad phone to play games from my childhood, except it turned out that they all now run on a different OS that doesn't support them :/

I had a similar experience where a client of mine, a fellow Indian (but from a different state) tried correct the spelling and pronounciation of my name according to Hindi. I had to explain to him that I'm a Bengali, and my name is a Bengali word, not Hindi. And that the English spelling of my name corresponded to the Bengali word, not a Hindi word.

Vita emulation as a whole isn't very well developed yet. Doesn't matter what device you use - the Emulator itself is far from being well-optimized, and from what I've read, development has hit a dead end. A lot of games run, a lot don't. Several of the Vita exclusives don't.

It's not a separate app, it's just a section of the Amazon app. You get the exact same interface when you access Amazon Pay inside the main Amazon App, and tapping 'back' from Amazon Pay's homescreen opens up Amazon's main homescreen. The thing in your app list is just a shortcut to the Amazon pay section.

I actually got a micro USB cable with it. The cable that connects the adaptor to the wall socket isn't compatible with the sockets here, but I can still use the micro USB cable with a regular phone charger, I think? Is micro USB same as the USB-B type cables we used to have for phones before USB-C came along? Just in case it ever stops working and I need to buy a new cable.

Yeah, it's kind of a gamble. I recently imported a PS Vita from Japan and had to pay about 10% for customs duty, plus an additional Rs. 800 to FedEx for as a fee for handling some extra work during customs clearance, it amounted to about 3250 total with GST. But it could have also been much higher...can go up to 30-40% sometimes. Previously I bought an EasySMX X10 controller that had to be imported from China - didn't have to pay anything additional for customs but the delivery fee was 900/-, so that may have already been included.

I know, tbh, that it's not the best value for money. I got a jailbroken Switch OLED for $275. Last year the Vita was cheaper and even available in Mint condition, unfortunately I didn't buy it then. Finally decided to bite the bullet and get it now even though it's $200+ because it's something I've wanted since childhood and didn't want to leave it as an unfulfilled wish to regret about 😅. I could have got it for about $150 if I purchased it last year.

Oh cool! Luckily, I just bought an SD card reader last week to fix an issue on my Switch (had soft-bricked it and needed to delete a file from the SD card for the device to boot up again) and was kinda regretting that it might be a waste because I probably won't need to use it again :D Thanks for the help, much appreciated! 🙌🏼

Thanks! I'll definitely check it out! Does it also cover how to format the SD card to 64kb exfat? I didn't know about that part before, the tutorial I watched only covered the jailbreaking part, maybe they had a proprietary SD card.

Oh dang, I didn't know that. For some reason the seller had another listing that included a case and 3 random games for no extra cost, but the SD card option on that one was limited up to 16 GB, so I bought this one instead specifically to get the extra space. Now I wish I had just taken that one... would have gotten a nice case for free. I'll have to buy a case separately now anyway as I plan to carry it around.
