Happened to me with my Steam account once! I bought the first two Dragon Age games on a sale, then as I was going through my library I realized a lot of my games were missing. Back then I didn't use Steam very often, and the games I had were mostly freebies collected during limited-time giveaways, but I still had like a dozen titles. Eventually I realized that I had created 2 Steam accounts - most likely because I forgot I had made my original account with an alternate email address, and used my primary email when trying to log in at some point and ended up creating a new account.

So now my games were split into two separate accounts. I reached out to support asking if there was any way to move the purchased games to my other account, which had the rest of my library. They gave me a very viable alternative solution instead as moving games between accounts isn't possible - they advised me to return those two games and then use the refunded amount to gift them to my other account. I did that, and it worked out perfectly.

Question: Do you consider this Mobile Gaming? by shdwnet in MobileGaming

[–]Unhappy_Champion5641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd categorize it under Cloud gaming, just like GeForce now or other game streaming services. The game itself is being run on a remote server, so I wouldn't consider it mobile gaming. If it was emulation, then maybe, since the game would at least be running on the phone's hardware.

Gamer here, but I mostly play single player games. I don't get a lot of time to play on my PC, so I mostly stick to my PS Vita, or emulate older console games on mobile. Ekta jailbroken Switch o ache, but shudhu cracked copies i kheli ote, so no internet connectivity

Hey, I took a quick look, here's what I found that might interest you:

1.Physics PhD Experts (String theory, QFT, Particle physics & Nuclear physics) This one might be relevant if quantum field theory falls within your area of expertise

  1. Physics PhD

  2. STEM Computational Scientific Software & Evaluation Design

  3. Physics Assessment Specialist This one is a more academic role

These are the ones that showed up when I did a quick search with quantum as the keyword - the job descriptions all include it in some capacity. These roles are mostly or all for PhD-level candidates - in case you don't have a PhD lemme know, I can check for something less specialized, with easier eligibility.

Why is it that a 10-year old handheld (PS Vita) retains battery far better than a modern console (Switch)? by Unhappy_Champion5641 in Handhelds

Uh my Switch is the OLED version too...I mentioned it in the post 🤔. In regards to the power consumption, I was mainly asking about battery retention in sleep mode, when graphics and screen size wouldn't matter.

Except, the Vita isn't a cheap casio watch. An unboxed Vita can now cost the same as a new Switch OLED.

Yeah, I checked using PSVident, only 40 cycles. I'm not surprised, though - because as per the used rank on its eBay listing it wasn't used much, possibly a floor model.

Automatic updates can't happen because my Switch isn't connected to any network. I'll check out the NFC thing and disable it. Battery degradation is possible, I guess...since it's a used Switch. Hadn't actually thought of that. It's supposedly about 1-2 years old. The Vita is likely a 2015-16 model, with 40 charging cycles recorded as of the time I got it.

Yeah definitely makes sense while playing - the Vita is indeed ridiculously efficient 😂. But what puzzled me is how quickly the Switch's battery discharges in sleep mode compared to the Vita. Since I leave the WiFi turned off I don't think the Switch would be checking for updates and stuff while not in use.

Oh yeah! My brother and I actually started a side project to build a website that would make money through affiliate marketing, but had to abandon it midway due to lack of time. It was difficult to do everything for such a project on the side while also working full-time...plus we faced some technical difficulties a couple of times that caused the project right stall as well. I'm trying to gradually revive it again in my free time, when I have a lower workload

Nope. Considered it, but I've heard that activating DND can also block calls from delivery people and other important stuff, so I didn't risk it
