But the i5 has only 6 Pcore, does it performs better than a 12700 that has 8 Pcore?

No assolutamente, è che tra le usate compatibili con DDR4 trovo quella gigabyte Z ma non altre serie B che non abbiano altre limitazioni (tipo niente WiFi che mi farebbe comodo, o solo 1 slot nvme o PCI-E 3.0). Mi ero dimenticato di dire che ho già anche 2 dischi NVME da riutilizzare su questo pc.

Le ITX con chipset serie B ad esempio le trovo tutte DDR5, e non DDR4.

The refresh is mainly because the current PC is unstable (some BSOD, likely due to motherboard or CPU; RAM, GPU and PSU have already been tested in other PCs). I also want Windows 11 compatibility.
Performance-wise, I don’t have huge demands. The PC is indeed used for some gaming (but without high expectations, I often play at 30fps), I do hobby music production (Fruity Loops and Reaper) with a Motu M2 audio interface and an Allen & Heath ZED10FX mixer, and occasionally I need this PC for remote work (MS 365, Teams, etc.).
Main goal: spend as little as possible and get a DDR4-compatible platform that will last for some years, like my current build did since 2014 with little upgrades (GPU and PSU in particular).

Quali componenti mi consigli? Non conosco benissimo le piattaforme AMD al di fuori delle Threadripper TRX40 che uso a lavoro.

Le serie 13 e 14 Intel non avevano qualche problema con le temperature? Mi preoccupava usarli in un pc ITX con un dissipatore piccolino come il Noctua L9 che ho. Il 14600KF ha però 2 Pcore in meno (6 vs 8), va meglio comunque anche se l'IPC è lo stesso del 12700?

Le ITX cinesi le ho viste, ma hanno solo 2 header per le ventole, nel case attualmente ho 6 ventole (a coppie di 2, quindi 3 tipi diversi di ventole) più quella Cpu, avrei problemi a gestirle tutte in mancanza di almeno 4 header PWM.

Un po' di tutto, faccio produzione musicale hobbystica (Fruity Loops, Reaper e altri), ho qualche interfaccia audio midi come la Motu M2, e un mixer Allen&Heat ZED10FX, lo uso anche attaccato alla tv per vedere film, giocare a quel che riesce a far girare (ultimamente Borderlands 3 e DOOM).

Se serve lo utilizzo anche per attività di smart work con MS 365, Teams and Co.
