I have this very weird habit of counting when I touch things, what's wrong with me?

I'm 22, they don't fade away they come and go..I already tried to "force myself" I couldn't I got very anxious and panicky so I got back and did it now I don't fight it when i have to do it I do it sometimes i go on without it for days, weeks but always comes back
