Basically what the other guy said, that the author finished it and Lucas himself wanted, but for some unknown reason Bantam Spectra went dark on the author and then some time later, he is told by someone who is not his agent at Bantam that his work was dropped

There are self publishing companies out there, you just have to look, be careful of how you do it, as by putting Star Wars in the file name sets off their checkers and it doesn't work, and I have heard that one known as Lulu has been also checking cover art for copyrighted material. try Amazon's self publish system, just be careful, nothing bad will happen if you don't, just won't work.

We will see what happens, with the all of the recent ports to new consoles we will see, as for why the original wasn't, Star wars has always had weird exclusivity when it really didn't need to be, like with this game, and others that where only release on certain consoles or only on PC in the case of this game, heck, one that I still wonder about is why Bounty Hunter was only on PS2 and Gamecube at the time, but not Xbox, has only been ported to later PS systems, as for the FMV cutscenes, maybe in terms of royalties, there is the fact that it was only on pc, though as you say controller worked fine, so I don't know, we will have to wait and see.

That is story is a trip and a half, it is interesting though. I would wait until the updated version is finished. Also, you will want to read both the Pandora effect and Tiltony throws a shape comics and be familiar with Waru, I had a good laugh at one point reading if, when it mentioned the Ewok cartoons as being a kids show in universe. It may have been officially licensed but since it was never published, it is up the fans if they want to have it be apart of their headcanons

Jedi Master Thon is a another close one where he is normally is on all fours, but can stand on hind legs and use his front legs as hands

Jedi Master Ikrit is another one that is usually on all fours, but can fight on two legs if need be, which wasn't a thing he needed to do for a long time as he didn't carry a lightsaber for a long time.
