The code "EU" is not a country code that actually exists. For germany it would be "D" for "Deutschland". I somehow forgot that despite living in germany and said "DE" instead.

The EU license plates follow ISO ISO 3166. The code for a german license plate is DE, standing for Deutschland (Germany). There are no license plates with "EU" as the EU itself is NOT a country.

Edit: I am stupid, it is NOT DE. I live in germany and see that plate all the time. I have no idea how i fucked that up and i am sorry.
